A powerhouse at Småkraft

Tina Rasmussen

Tina Rasmussen has a degree in civil economics and has worked for various companies in the consulting and construction sector. Currently, she is a financial manager for landowners of power plants that are in operation. It was a former colleague who told her about Småkraft – and that’s how it came about. She started working for the power company ten years ago and has no regrets.

People behind the numbers

It’s clear that Tina is concerned with in the people behind the numbers. “It is important to me that the landowners feel I’m prioritising them and that they’re not simply part of a crowd,” says Tina. “Landowners have different wants and needs. But what they all have in common is the need for an income that can help them take care of the village they live in and prepare for the future. At Småkraft, they should feel that they are both seen and heard.

Pride in Småkraft’s power plants

When a power plant opens, the landowners have often been through a long process, often as long as 10–15 years. So I think they should be proud of what they have achieved! I always try to be involved in the opening of a new power plant. It’s usually a big day. A festive day with speeches, food and maybe a mayor cutting a ribbon.

And with a smile, she adds: “I feel pride when seeing the power plants that we operate and lease.”

When Tina is asked why she still works at Småkraft after so many years, she highlights her contact with the construction industry and the landowners. “I think it’s terrific to work on something tangible. Although I work with figures and accounts, I don’t really want to spend my days pushing papers. I enjoy working with these facilities that are so important for many people. I also like working in an environmentally friendly industry,” she says.
