Congratulations to Bjarte Skår for winning the Småkraftprisen 2025.
The jury describes Bjarte Skår as “the undisputed network king of the small power industry, industry builder and district developer” They go on to write that “He has not only been a pioneer in the small power industry, but he has shaped and developed it into what it is today. He has a real passion for the industry, and understands that small-scale power is not just a business – it is rural development and a future-oriented industry.”

What is the small power price?
Every year since 2012, the Norwegian Small Power Association has awarded Småkraftprisen (a Norwegian award for contributions to small-scale hydropower) to an actor who has contributed to strengthening the Norwegian small power industry, either in the form of innovation or new technical contributions to the industry, strong contributions to the promotion of the industry or an actor who has otherwise played a positive role for the industry.
