The power plant utilizes a drop of 370 meters. The landscape is characterized by steep mountainsides, spruce plantations, and cultivated land, with the river flowing steeply throughout the affected stretch. The project is located in an area with existing infrastructure and limited visibility, and the area is not extensively used for outdoor recreation. The power station is positioned upstream of the road and railway to reduce technical challenges.
After construction, plans include revegetation and restoration of temporary construction areas. Measures have also been taken to preserve biodiversity, including adjustments to water flow and considerations for species such as the white-throated dipper and grey wagtail. The landscape changes are assessed as local and acceptable, and the project has been implemented with the aim of combining renewable energy production with environmental and community considerations.
