Tjøtaelva is a typical flood river, which is inaccessible on the steep mountainsides down towards the fjord. The construction phase of this project has had its share of challenges, including a very steep terrain and two extremely harsh winters.
The excellent end result is due to an efficient collaboration between all involved parties. The landowners have made particularly strong contributions during the process. This has resulted in a fine power plant and 8 climate friendly GWh that will be delivered to the power grid each year for the benefit of the environment.
